No Money Is A Pitiful Excuse 6 Years, 10 Months ago
I was interested to see this short youtube clip pop up in my recommended.

Ann Pettifor The Economic Myths of UK's 2017 General Election Exposed

On JK's wonderful blog here I have attempted, I think with a success rate of zero to highlight for governments particularly in the West that money is not the issue; as it can be created no problem. The issue is the people in positions of government and other places who can outline the need for housing, jobs minimum living income and so on. Then they need to find reasonable ways to get the needed money. Starting first with what can be done by the physical resources available. For example what available derelict buildings that can be refurnished or knocked down and replaced. Manpower there is no shortage at all, once the objective are set and resources identified then the money can be sourced from wherever. Not mentioned in the talk but when needed and would not cause too much money the system I cannot see why bonds with the BOE can not be created then cancelled as one possible exercise that would create money but no further unneccessary debt. (I suspect China, with clever money people, have created money and loaned out to governments and so on. Who needs military might when the system is so little understood that a country can enslave another via loans. No evidence ok, just "a wondering" and please do not tell Mr Gradgrind from Charles Dickens Hardtimes)

Money should be reviewed as SUPPLY, DISTRIBUTION (allocation) and CONTROLl (not controlled and it loses value).

To be in government with a policy of "austerity" is defeatism of the highest order. Yes there may need to be spending reviews, cuts and so on, but that should not be the objective but rather to find the money to fuel the already available real resources.

Not sure in the last part of the talk why the word "growth" rates talking about. Ok maybe not the best term but the speaker loses me on that point.
I stand to be informed more clearly if someone can make the significance of the so called misuse of the word growth plainer for me. But I could not see the use anywhere as misleading as say the word "victim" in the historical sexual abuse allegation situation where the person making the allegation may well be the victim but at the same time they may be the criminal making a false allegation. So in that context "complainant" is better than victim where as a person murdered with a body can clearly be seen to be a victim.

Growth is a reasonable word to me.
