Saunders was an absolute disgrace when he was on the Vatican panel and participated in a dodgy Oz 60 Minutes program defaming Pell.
The Vatican asked him to leave or be booted as the others on the committee found him to be a bully.
# note: there is no record of anyone facing trial over Saunder's alleged abuse.
Th media attacks on Pell have been disgraceful and oddly I've had to side with many very conservative commentators who have said as much.
As an example, the alleged comedian
Tim Minchin wrote a nasty ditty about Pell to raise funds to send a delegation of victims to Rome.
So many in the media chortled away and ignored my protests : that the leader of that group who had met with Minchin was a convicted pedophile (confessed)himself and his victim..according to people I know who know him..was absolutely distressed and became suicidal when he saw the media hyperventilating in positive fashion about his abuser.
Eventually it became a scandal..one I had predicted months before

But still not a mention from Minchin et all or apology to Ridsdale's victim who is apparently, still extremely upset and feels forgotten.

# My prediction : when the allegations fall over there will be a demands for a full inquiry as to how Pell was targeted and relentlessly pursued in a media campaign of outlandish lies and vilification. Mind you the poor man may be dead by then.
