which seems to me as odd as men giving birth would be; but we do need to root for the Brits or should I say "Brits"? Love the Williams sisters though prefer Serena's character, from what I've seen of the two of them. Anyway, go Jo.

Sadly Venus was far and away the better player. Brits in Wimbles over for another year (or is Jamie still in the doubles?).

Two measly sets? All that "women are equal to men" rubbish - not in energy when playing tennis they're not. For God's sake at least for semis and finals; go to 5 sets.

The WTA would also prefer 5 sets; but the governing body (for Grand Slam events etc.) - the ITF - have repeatedly said 'no'...

Jo seems really nice and attractive, watching her interview.

3 sets is enough, and the men should play 3 sets too (like they do in non-grand slams). Most of the time they are just killing time and it is obvious who is going to win after the first set.
