for the appalling state of police behaviour these days (not just in Britain; around the world). The decline in standards has been partly down to the media wanting great stories (and fuck the truth) and the judiciary realising that juries need simple explanations (and fuck the truth) but mainly senior ranks of ambitious police who are vastly over paid and virtually instruct officers "Fuck the truth; get convictions". Most decent, honest, hard working police (and prison officers) have left their jobs in disgust and who can blame them?
