I believe it was the Sunday Times that put out the story ....

Respect?
For death?
It doesn't take much achieving, does it? Most people manage it ... lol !

And an early death, through bad choices?

It doesn't take much achieving, does it? Most people manage it ... lol !

And an early death, through bad choices?
Hardly deserves respect at all.

A person who makes mistakes but then turns their life around for the better deserves and respect, far more than a person who judges from a distant, oblivious of their own shortcomings.

I respect David Cassidy for his music and for the fact that he did not pretend to be perfect. In his last few interviews he came across as humble and gracious.

Yes, and without something to copy, 99 percent of people wouldnt have a clue what to do.
It is a different talent to songwriting or producing, but it is a talent all the same and I think he was a jolly good vocalist.

His dad Jack Cassidy was a troubled soul as well - he was very jealous of his son's success while he scraped together a few (albeit very good) appearances in various Columbo episodes.
