Alan Milburn - former Labour Minister - senses a new opportunity !

ANY chance to harm the government - and the country - they take it !

All "opposition" but not a single constructive idea between them.

In a statement, the Government said it had already informed Mr Milburn "we planned to appoint a new chair", adding that it is "committed to fighting injustice".

Does this mean that Milburn has only "quit" after being informed that he was being replaced?

Which kind of puts his "stance" into perspective doesn't it?

A non partisan multi party commission - and he blames Brexit. I think he is right; May is a disaster and until she goes we are in deep trouble.

You're aware of course that his retiring deputy Gillian Shepherd was a Tory minister.

Yes, fully aware (may have her own reasons - and if the entire committee is to be replaced may have decided that a clean break is best)

No ITK you and I both share exactly the same two thoughts; Brexit is a disaster of monumental proportions and Theresa May is the wrong PM and needs to be replaced ASAP.

Agree about Brexit and although not a major supporter of May think she is coping well under very difficult circumstances

She has to salvage something from this disaster - and it's quite alien to her

Imagine a nutter like Corbyn's having to "sell" Capitalism !

Given today's figures about the increase in relative poverty - no wonder he / they quit !!!!

Jumped before they were pushed (and tried to "switch" blame elsewhere) !
