Captured sailors - A rare admission of truth ? 17 Years, 1 Month ago
Margaret Beckett (qote from CNN website) -

<<< Even if the ship had somehow strayed into Iranian waters, Beckett said, "under international law, warships have sovereign immunity in the territorial sea of other states."

"The very most Iran would've been entitled to do if they considered our boats were breeching the rules on innocent passage would've been to require the ship to leave their territorial waters immediately," the foreign secretary explained. >>>

edition.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/03/28/i...k.sailors/index.html

It's a bit rich for this lot to be hiding behind international law, isn't it, when they have broken it at every available opportunity?

Also - how old is this captured woman's child? She is quoted as being 26. Perhaps she'd be better off at home looking after her child rather than helping war criminals?

Well worth studying the hand written letter that has just appeared on SkyNews.

"We are being treated well", is blatantly written in italics.

Am I the first to pick up on this?

How can hand writing be in italics?

Anyway - they haven't been dressed in orange jumpsuits and taken to a concentration camp on the other side of the world, have they?

And up to now, it doesn't appear that they have been raped, humiliated, tortured or sexually abused in any other way - does it?

I agree, but do check out the letter when you see it.
The handwriting slants on that line of the letter.

Just checked on Sky - the girl is THREE years old !

It says she is currently being looked after by her father "who is on compassionate leave"

Who looks after her when he is not on leave? Time to call Social Services?

Obviously I don`t know the answer to that, but when I had little ones, it cost over half my years wages to keep myself(and my face) in work, so I could return full time later.

It is slightly different now, I believe there is compensated child minding rate on a wage(anyone know??).

The social services regularly checked on me during that working and raising children period of my life. They were great support, I hated being a male in a female world, that said, the problem cases are consistently missed out on.
