Video games and violence 6 Years, 1 Month ago  
There have always been 'violent' video games...who remembers Mortal Kombat in the arcades ?

Same with movies who remembers the shoot out in original Wild Bunch?

I suppose the further point is hiw realistic games are now compared to them, and that the player can literally with VR be immersed to a realistic level as theagent of violence...things like the wild bunch or rambo are not really violent; they are "cartoons".

I am not qualified to say whether the changes in technology will lead to more actual violence..but it is a very impotrtaznt issue as the technology moves faster than our very limited understanding of the brain...

You might have a point - then again I have not touched or played a game well over a decade.
