The policeman is recovering (slowly) we are told ... "sitting up in bed" ... "talking to his family" etc

But the Russians are (apparently) still in a coma with no response.

Unlikely now to ever recover.

And of the dozens infected - how many will show signs in the future?

It's very disturbing if they don't recover. Not only the fact that they suffer such harm and such a life sentence (hopefully completely out of it and not aware while being trapped in their bodies) but they're going to be a constant reminder to whoever has to look after them for the rest of their lives (NHS presumably and by extension British taxpayers/government) of what "they" who did this are capable of.

As I said, Litvinenko was proof that near recovery can still end in death.

There are over 100 still being monitored who may, having received a small dose, not be taken ill for some time.
