Thought it had gone quiet.
While I am no criminal expert, the reasons for collapse must surely be because the prosecution case had severe weaknesses....now they will fiddle around trying to salvage anything they cam.

There is an interesting difference between the Daily Mail's & BBC's reporting into the collapse of this case:
www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-44634770
"It was claimed the 73-year-old, who was appearing under his real name Kenneth George King, used his fame to carry out attacks on boys aged between 14 and 16."
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5891621...COLLAPSES-tried.html
"King, of , Bayswater, denies 17 charges of indecent assault and seven other sex charges relating to males aged between 16 and 21."
It's quite possibly an error on the part of the Mail's journalist - Richard Spillett who is on Twitter for anyone wishing to check - or then again it could be a case of him living up to his name!

A google search today simply showed a lot of different news outlets putting out the almost the same story, with a few minor cosmetic details.
Interesting to note, that unlike the Mail and others the BBC made no mention of a retrial.
