Death of a Roller 5 Years, 10 Months ago  
Bay City Roller Alan Longmuir dies

Alan Longmuir, a founding member of the Bay City Rollers, has died.

The Edinburgh-born musician died in hospital at 06:00 on Monday, surrounded by his family.

He was flown home from Mexico three weeks ago after falling ill on holiday.

MrHoney smashed the side of the car this morning. Apparently it was the fault of a completely invisible bollard that gave him no warning.

Yes, very sad to hear about Alan. He seemed such a nice guy. Saw him at the Bay City Rollers reunion gig about 18 months ago with Les and Woody. Very entertaining show, I don't even remember them in their hey day, but they made some great pop singles including a number one in America and two in the uk.
