Delicious - so it should be at £112 for two.

Yes indeed Paul; unlike Democracy, Decadence works (every now and then).

What is the craze for Champagne or Prosecco being included in afternoon tea in so many places?
Maybe its just me, but I really dont want it in the middle of the afternoon.

Had afternoon tea recently at the GoNG Bar in the Shangri-La Hotel.

Excellent - on the 52nd floor of The Shard, in London.

Not for those with a fear of heights.

But a panoramic view of the Capital - and further afield.

Oh that sounds lovely. When I was a child I used to love going to the restaurant in the post office tower, that turned around slowly.

Tea is always good. As for Fortnum and Masons, I must say as a shopping experience in general I do prefer it to Harrods, although both do have their charm. That ssid,
I still miss both BHS and Allders, and have done since both shut the doors for the last time. Not as posh, of course, but still great and now greatly missed, especially (for me personally) both Croydon branches of the stores, that were located in the Whitgift shopping centre, which also once had a great big Woolworths. Allders itself (the buliding remains) faced Debenhams in the drummond/centrale shopping centre across the road (still there).
