Seven Labour MP Resignations 5 Years, 2 Months ago
Yes - but never fear.

As seven more Labour party members will soon replace them.

Really, matters of no consequence.

Interesting though to see how the Tory dissenters will respond...

I'm wondering about this - on the eve of a proper Brexit decision it shows there is no leadership for the obvious, vital second referendum. If Labour won't get off the fence, we are heading for Brexit. Is there nothing ordinary citizens (at least 48% of the population - I suspect 80% - who do not want Brexit) can do in the Courts?

The power of the internet.

You cannot isolate and hide as they did with The Militant Tendency back in the 80s.
Many of these Labour MPs are out of touch with both their electors, and their party members...leftover Blairites/Brownies....insulting their working class voters....and on a different planet from the momentum backbone of their hard working party....unable to please either...

....now the tories...their electorate and members tend to hold similar views...and the likes of Dominic Grieve et al,well out of touch is on his way to de-selection in Beaconsfield...as are a few of the others...

....the moral of this tale is the Tories will actually gain votes out of it...Labour may well loose votes....a newly formed 'SDP' may result....a few tories, backbone Old Labour....it won't take off for long...certainly won't get the 30+ percent they got in 1983....

....but....but the interesting point will not be that they will fail as out of touch with the electorate....but where will their votes be taken from?....The British electoral system has not worked well since 2005....it has failed to deliver strong one party government...Brexit was a direct result of UKIP rise....I predict a harder post Brexit as a result...

....I'm going off to recline...see you in the colebrook for a swift one later.

Any so called new party is destined for oblivion.

It's not the 70s. They will sink without trace.

It's all so bizarre.

All were about to be deselected, and as we both know they will never get back into parliament now....bet they wish they had backed a real version of PR voting....and the calls for by-elections have killed off any credibility for a 'People's Vote...

....shame they closed The Old Colonial...
