That doesn't look too good for the Tories. Interesting to see the Brexit Party already projected to get a healthy amount of support. It looks as if Change UK is a bit of a damp squib.

It's a pity (from a Remainer standpoint!) that there doesn't seem to be anyone in a leading position on the Remain side with the charisma of Farage or Johnson. David Lammy gave a spirited performance on Question Time recently*, but he's a backbencher.

I was just recalling watching the TV debate between Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage and finding Clegg talked sense and Farage nonsense (IMHO) but Farage seemed a much more gripping and punchy speaker.

Most of the political classes supported Remain....and in his day Blair was quite an operator...as was Clegg...but both got caught out lying, and of course with all those videos of lies circulating on social media there is nowhere to hide.

I really do not feel the current situation will benefit the remain side of politics....best to have just left without a deal...then if it was the disaster Project Fear claimed they could have pushed for re-entry then...of course No Deal was only ever likely to have been a quick 'blip'....as I'm sure,as you believe the EU is not about economic facts, but about a sense of 'European Identity'....even Tony Blair admitted the other day we will thrive economically both inside or outside.....

....oh well, off early morning on my travels, sure there will be much more merry debate on these subjects to come.
