His trial begins today and it is incredibly important. It confuses media like The Guardian whose agenda is that "you must be believed" and hates stories (like Jemma Beale) which illustrate how common lies, inventions and exaggerations are. How will they cover this trial? See below.
Then there is the far worse situation where bent police and corrupt lawyers encourage and assist liars in order to boost their budgets and conviction rates and get promotion.
There may well have been some of this in the Carl Beech case.
There is the position of the media in it - showing how keen they are to smear, cover, damage innocent men and women in order to get "a good story".
There are the public who, the vast majority, find it impossible to accept that people make false allegations - they do, far more than there is genuine abuse.
This case will open their eyes.
If Beech is found guilty, I do hope police, media and lawyers are not let off.

Very interesting story in Daily Mail, of Beech:
'He was indebted and living grossly beyond his means, intending to make money on the international speaking circuit, speaking about his 'abuse''
The prosecution are trying to say that wanting to be a 'celebrity victim' is a motive for lying about abuse. I wonder if defence lawyers will use this line to defend those accused of abuse in the future.
Also the allegations about lying about being abused by Savile are interesting. If you read the enquiry report into Savile at Stoke Mandeville it says that virtually all the allegations must be believed as it is very rare for anyone to lie about abuse. But there was no documentation to prove that the accusers had even been admitted to the hospital. All they needed was a letter from a doctor saying they had reported feeling traumatised due to historic sex abuse. If Beech is found guilty, where does this leave the stories about Savile carrying out abuse on an 'industrial scale' to use the horrible media phrase?
Believe, me being abused is truly horrible but then so is living in a world where due process and the rule of law have been swept aside by hysteria. It's impossible to believe we are living through such times.
