Rory Rory, tell us a story 5 Years, 3 Months ago
It is clear from tonights channel 4 debate that Rory Stewart is the best candidate to be the next pm and get us out of this Brexit mess, in a realistic manner and provide a framework for a better society.

There's no doubt that Boris Johnson will be our next Prime Minister; he has, by far, the largest support from his peers.

Every poll confirms his huge lead - and, consequently, he sees no need to debate. Straight talking and experienced - and the best available.

Already the other candidates are being nice to Boris - in the hope of a cabinet position; even Rory has backtracked on his decision not to serve under Boris.

I didn't see the debate but from what I've seen of him can well believe that Rory talked the most sense. Would love to see him debate Boris Johnson but, sadly, I doubt that will happen.

If Rory has backtracked, he can't be as principled as he'd like people to think.

As for Boris, is his tousled, rumpled, wiffle-waffling persona contrived and, if so, what's he really like?

Boris Johnson's party trick rumbled! JEREMY VINE reveals how he once saw the MP make a shambolic, unprepared speech and forget his punchlines but still bring the house down - and 18 months later he repeated the routine

BJ - perhaps unlike his pal Trump - is no fool.

Speaks several languages, including Latin!

Former editor of The Spectator, Mayor of London and Foreign Secretary - and lecturer/tutor.

This country has been led by lesser people - and, currently, there's nobody (in the frame) more suitable.

Minor eccentricities - and a fascination for the opposite sex - are no barrier.

Instead of debating with his opponents, Boris is currently talking to fellow MPs, with a view to increasing his 100+ supporters.

His level of support may well be one of the largest in history - with detractors having to resort to personal attacks.

Leadsom is nothing less than a survivor - and now has just become a Boris fan, and a likely cabinet member.
