A loony drug addict drunk went to Max Clifford, famous publicist, with his story that he'd been abused when a teenager by men in Surrey. Clifford's home county. Max told him the story meant nothing as there was no celebrity involved so the druggie invented someone he'd never met but who he knew was friends with some of his clients - Jonathan King. In all his years in mental institutions and rehab units he had never once mentioned JK whilst naming all his clients. Waxie Maxie, via other cops, put the druggie in touch with a Surrey cop - Mark Williams Thomas. The rest is history.
Surrey Police had been interested in celebrity sex arrests for a while but both Simply Red's Mick Hucknall and The Jam's Paul Weller had managed, through expensive lawyers, to wriggle out of false claims. Max decided it needed a gay or bisexual celebrity.
When I emerged from jail, after serving half of a seven year sentence, wrongly convicted for crimes that never took place, I decided I should assist Karma.
The loony suffered a series of near terminal strokes. For over 12 years he has been a vegetable unable to communicate. In 2018, with his claims revived, I was acquitted of all his false allegations. I smiled as the Jury declared me Not Guilty.
Max suffered from claims made about his behaviour towards a teenage girl years earlier. She was a friend of a friend of mine who had told her/my friend, when I was convicted thanks to Max, that she was shocked as Max had abused her.
Mark Williams Thomas watched his fame crumble into infamy.
Peter Saunders, a vociferous critic, met Karma.
Revenge is a dish best served cold.

The original false accuser decided to bravely waive his anonymity in return for a large cheque from The Sun newspaper in 2005 when I was released, chased me into a hotel elevator followed by cameramen, shook my hand refusing to let it go and got a nice National spread. He was declared a liar in 2018 when I was found Not Guilty of all his claims and he was exposed as having spent years in mental institutions and rehab units. He's the one who went to Waxie Maxie (in Vile Pervert: The Musical).
Oh yes, I remember seeing that clip now. You did very well to stay composed.
I wonder what made him go to max Clifford in the first place though? I mean, if the first (presumably) non crime he reported was about nobody of interest, what the heck did Max Clifford have to do with it?
And wouldn't you think people would realise that somebody bypassing the police and going to a celebrity arsehole instead would indicate that they invented the whole thing?
I suspect the whole thing was planned in cold blood.

We thought you were eccentric but not dangerous like the press tried to portrait you as.
A description that could also apply to Jimmy Savile, I think.
If someone is eccentric or weird-looking they must surely be guilty of something.

My brother in law was at Leeds United games and Savile was nearly always seated near him.
He said Jimmy, looked more creepy, ugly and repulsive than anything else.
He mentioned that Savile would mumble to himself throughout the matches - or try to be centre of attention when no-one took notice of him.

I only met Jimmy once; he begged me to visit Stoke Mandeville Hospital which I did, with my brother Andy. We both felt Savile was almost a saint, cheering up the most depressed patients. I write about it in 75FFFY.

I've read an awful lot about the life of Sir Jimmy Savile, and I've yet to encounter anything about his passion for football, never mind for Leeds United.
No he never saw his car but then again I bet he didn't bother to look. He's not a petrol-head (Then again he don't like football unless it's a free ticket). Now if you asked him about high end cocktails, champagne and fine wines then he will know.
My sister just didn't marry him for his hairy chest and open shirts.
JS was known to attend football games around Yorkshire but no doubt it was publicity or might got invited by the clubs for free.

What does "looking creepy" entail?
I met him when he was donating to a charity I was was working with.
It was a private visit, nobody knew about it, and he was perfectly nice, normal, interested, and pretty quiet.
It is actually on record that I was alone with him, so If I was a raving nutter it would be the simplest thing in the world for me to take a chunk of that money that was earmarked for saving children's lives.
The world is full of nutters, sadly.

Good question, ask him not me.
Like I said I have no idea if Jimmy was guilty or innocent, I've never met him and couldn't stand him in TV or radio.
However I always thought Pat Robertson was odd and was up something, even when he was a popular evangelist back in the day.
