I was doing my usual ablutions when I finished off by reaching for the toothbrush. As I was cleaning my gnashers I realised the rubber grip on my toothbrush appeared to be a much lighter shade.

Glancing up at the toothbrush holder cup, I noticed there were still two toothbrushes in there. A blue one and my usual one.

I said to my Son "I dont know what's going on here with the toothbrush situation."

He replied " What do you mean?"

I said "There were three toothbrushes in the holder."

He replied " When I went in the bathroom earlier, I noticed a toothbrush on the little unit thing you store toiletries in. So I put it in the cup with the others."


Me "That was the one out of my toolbox which I used earlier to clean under the rim of the toilet"!

I felt a bit sick, but tried to ease my concern by reminding myself I've probably had worse things in my mouth over the years. However, it had the opposite effect so I resorted to alcohol as an alkali!

Good lord, Bookworm! I'd have needed an ambulance if that had happened to me.

Never a dull moment here!

Last week was just calamity after calamity.

Last night everyone was in bed (around 11pm) I heard "Mum, I just heard a noise in the kitchen."

I actually heard it too.

Son:" Are you going to do something?"

Me:" Go away burglars."

Son:" Stop being silly. Go and check."

I grab my two secret weapons from under my bed and check all the rooms.

Turns out it was just a carrier bag had fallen over with recycling stuff in it.
I told him nobody will get in here without being seen or heard or killed!



I was glad when my eldest moved out after putting up with his insect phobia waking me up at all hours.

Barney, I find it quite worrying that you never miss an opportunity for nastiness.

I have already explained why I quote the post I am replying to.

It is because with the gap in-between posting and publishing, there is no way of knowing who has replied in the meantime, or what they have said, and it can sometimes appear that you are replying to a different post than intended.

Sometimes, especially on this site, posters can have views which I find extremely objectionable, and I prefer to make it absolutely clear that I am not agreeing, and the easiest way to do this is by quoting the post so there is no doubt.

If I post on YOUR site, Barney, I shall follow your little rule about quoting.

Or, if Mr King objects, as is his right, and asks me stop, I might have to stop posting.

Until then, I will carry on as I am, thanks!

I thought the boards were hacked recently. Site was showing offline.
