You'd almost think dear Guido (a close personal friend) was a Tory.

He is a liberal snake.

For someone with roots from a part of the world that distances itself from the UK politico (along with others) I wonder wtf they actually want.

They come here, stir it up and try and push people around whilst saying what should be accepted.

Go home and stay there! Moan as much as you like at officials there.

Is that an incendiary reference JK?

Brexit must not go ahead.

I am busting a gut here trying to get the truth to the masses.

Security has always been a concern. I started to become more suspicious when Trump was elected.

'I don't consider him an anti-semite'. Coo, thanks for that. What empirical research and rigorous reasoning went into that? Like 'I like that drum sound/I don't like that drum sound'? There's lots of interesting stuff on this site but the political thinking is down there with five year olds.

All I've done is read media coverage, watched his denials on TV and heard them on radio. That is as far as my judgement goes. I have no time to do any deeper research. I simply don't believe that the past history of supporting various groups means he is anti semitic. Anti much of extreme Zionism, yes. Pro Palestinian - yes (so am I). He's anti Trident too (so am I). He supports scrapping public schools (I don't). He wants to nationalise too much (I don't).

As somebody on the inside who is 'in the know', I know what I speak of.
Actually, I was banned from a facebook group (David Cameron) for putting it out there back in 2013.

That is my thanks for trying to get the truth out. Clearly somebody didn't want the truth. May have run to Murdoch with it though...
The Sun HQ laughed at it. They aren't laughing now though.

I neither pay anyone nor take money.

Thames House knows the truth. More worryingly for them, they know I know a lot of truth.

are you referring to the (appalling) Guido?

He's hardly liberal more an extreme right wing creep and a racist to boot. And of course, a shocking liar.

Are some comments missing? Did someone (falsely) accuse Corbyn of antisemitism? (bit hard when he supports Palestinians who of course, were a Semitic tribe) . Actually Jews are no longer a Semetic tribe but somehow the word has come to define them.
To falsely accuse Corbyn of such a dreadful slur is in itself antisemitic and highly dangerous.

As Noam Chomsky said about the dreadful lies about Corbyn and racism.."the media have you believing a man who has fought all forms of racism his entire life is antisemitic".

Even claiming there is somehow a "Jewish community" is a form of antisemitism and perpetuates a 1000 years of people attacking Jews as some sort of group thinking body that works for it's own benefit and not it's "host" country.

Mind you the UK Chabad Hasidim Jewish sect (who may contain the largest number of UK Jews) continually decries the ghastly lying and divisive partisan Jewish Board of Deputies who claim to "speak for Jews" and are planning to set up their own apposing body (and they support Jeremy Corbyn as a friend of Jews)

Britain's media is incredibly scary..90% of it combined is very similar to Germany's late 1930's Fascist / Nazi supporting garbage. Far better presented and far more subtle which makes it far more dangerous.

I believe the only chance Britain has is to elect a Corbyn led government.

If that doesn't happen the Trump style "free market" fanaticism will be on steroids. It will be a race to the bottom led by wide-boys like Boris Johnson

Won't happen all at once of course but free market / corporate lunacy is Capitalism's greatest enemy (not socialism as fools believe)..and in the meantime..Russia & China will continue to rise as Vladimir Putin (the most misunderstood and cleverest politician in 100 years) to claim the coming Century as belonging to them while the West buckles and begins to disintegrate..ever so slowly but surely..it happens inevitably to all empires.

I wonder if I can get a Russian passport? I can get a Lithuanian one through my mother..have an Irish one ..everyone like the Irish.

Very good and thought provoking post, Hedda.

One observation - so obvious to me - is the simple difference between the Tory and Labour parties, in the UK.

Wealth creation for the already wealthy is the aim of one.

Helping the poorer resident, is the other's.

Labour will tax the hell out of what they think are the rich to pay more to you lazy f.....s who will sucked up even more hard earned monies.
Not all the self employed a making massive profit and not paying tax.
Don't get fooled by all the new cars people have, they pay a few hundred pounds to own a car the cant afford to buy on finance leases that will break this country.
Labour today are labour of the 70s no ounce of balancing accounts. Spend give spend give.oh and Diane Abbot oh give me strength.

Cons not great

Well the Tories know how to borrow though!

Since they returned, to government, in 2010 - the National Debt has doubled.

To about £2 Trillion - more (and faster) than any previous time in history.

For a Tory budget surplus, you'd have to back to the Thatcher years - whilst Blair/Brown reduced the Debt, over a number of years.

Some think - that paying our way, through taxation instead of just borrowing year on year - is a prudent course.

It's 40 years since the Tories balanced the accounts - in 1989.

Labour have achieved it on a number of occasions since.

Currently we're paying over £1 billion a WEEK in interest on our National Debt!

Mainly created by Tory governments.

hedda,

I know Guido isn't a liberal. That was the point.
Although, at the hacking inquiry he quoted the Irish constitution? and stated how nobody has to listen to those officials since 1922?

The whole game of cards is coming down and the truth is seeping out.

People are monstering Russia in the Brexit affair too.

I see why Vlad would like to take advantage of our exit, but Russia is the scapegoats and deflection on the grand scale. I also believe they have Rupert's dirt.

The Constitution of Ireland didn't become law or salient - until 1937...
