TOPIC: Courage by ordinary people
#193976
Courage by ordinary people 4 Years, 5 Months ago
For once the ghastly platitude Mayor of London (Theresa May after decent makeup job?) says something we can agree with; those ordinary people who tried to stop the loony on London Bridge were brave, foolish and the best of humanity. Our instincts are to prevent evil. Yet another reason we must Open All Borders.

I see courage everyday.
It doesn't just apply here.

Fighting those terrorists in and around the MSM is a job and a half.

It will pay off too.

I am glad that one of them is a convicted murderer because it reminds us that there is good in everyone.

Yes this is the problem; the system has been so damaged by stupid laws ("credible and true") and incompetent junior staff that it gets everything wrong. And the result is numerous deaths until or unless the ordinary people take matters into their own hands. I reckon the courage of ordinary people (several convicted criminals) saved dozens of lives.

I abhor Australia's ghastly way they jail refugees on a God forsaken island.

What amazing talents do we miss out on?

Such as this-Professor Al Muderis who fled Iraq and has become a pioneering surgeon in artificial limbs.

Or perhaps Sir Frank Lowy deemed a terrorist by the British in Israel as a Haganah member..fled to Oz and created the giant Westfield shopping complexes.

# apparently 3 of the public were ex-cons.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that there's a correlation between psychopathy (or was it just committing serious crime? can't remember...) and bravery. Google google... found this:

What Do Heroes and Psychopaths Have in Common?

"people with a history of antisocial behavior are more likely to engage in heroic acts to help others"

Thanks for this, Jo. It is absolutely fascinating.
I think you have to be hearing the beat of a different drum to take action in a crisis.

I'd have wrestled him down without hesitation. What about everyone else?
