MWT: for the record 4 Years, 4 Months ago

seeing Mark Williams-Thomas name came up in another thread when he , as so often is the case, get's it wrong by claiming prince Andrew said he did not know his accuser..when of course Andrew said no such thing rather.. that he could not recall meeting her.
# By the way..the claims that Andrew asked the Maxwell lady about his accuser in an email is just a claim. No proof has been shown the alleged email is real..so easy to dodge up and I'm very suspect of it's provenance.
Remember .. it doesn't matter what is true and what is not in the Andrew matter..it's a Civil Court case for damages and the media are doing the bidding of the accuser's lawyer and publicist..(she admits she has one).
It's the oldest trick in the book in the USA..throw enough mud and eventually they might settle.
***************
Here is MWT's article in The Mirror in 2012 where he inadvertently reveals for horrible British child abusers that 10 year olds can be snapped up in Rio for a pittance during the Olympics.
MWT was born in 1970..so he was 44 at the times..you do the math..( nearly 30 years could mean just 29..joined the cops at 15? )
Child prostitutes forced to cash-in on fans at Brazil World Cup - selling sex for £1.30
A Sunday People investigation today reveals how kids living in shocking squalor and high on crack cocaine and glue, are exploited by drug dealers and pimps

"As a former detective and with nearly 30 years of experience in investigating child abuse, including the Jimmy Savile scandal, what I found in Brazil made me shudder."

That's how I interpret the reported e-mail too, Bookworm. She went public, he couldn't remember her, so asked Ghislaine Maxwell for info. I don't see that the e-mail proves anything else, assuming it's real. But if it is real, I wonder how the BBC obtained it if it was just between Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell. Are the media now hacking e-mail communications or did some royal factotum have access to it and pass it on?
What I'd like to know is why exactly MWT left the police. One would think that it would be the best place to be if one wanted to catch criminals. He talks round the subject here, saying policing had become far less proactive and that he wanted to take on new challenges and have more control over his life but I wonder if him apparently being a "nightmare to manage" ( source) and "something of a renegade" who would disclose information to the press that would now have got him arrested or suspended ( source) is closer to the truth and if he was pushing boundaries that got him let go.
