As for the email on Epstein accuser ( yep, she is still exactly that and will likely remain so) I believe the email was said to have been sent long after the supposed incident - most likely when the story broke which would make sense as to why Andrew was confused because he simply did not know.

MWT is a bandwaggoner. He jumps on others hard work and has brought nothing of his own to any table in terms of solving anything. His first attempt was caught up in a charge over blackmailing a funeral director.

The only useful thing he did outside of his delusional world of 'caped crusader' is scrape people's masticated mess from the streets.

That's how I interpret the reported e-mail too, Bookworm. She went public, he couldn't remember her, so asked Ghislaine Maxwell for info. I don't see that the e-mail proves anything else, assuming it's real. But if it is real, I wonder how the BBC obtained it if it was just between Prince Andrew and Ghislaine Maxwell. Are the media now hacking e-mail communications or did some royal factotum have access to it and pass it on?

What I'd like to know is why exactly MWT left the police. One would think that it would be the best place to be if one wanted to catch criminals. He talks round the subject here, saying policing had become far less proactive and that he wanted to take on new challenges and have more control over his life but I wonder if him apparently being a "nightmare to manage" (source) and "something of a renegade" who would disclose information to the press that would now have got him arrested or suspended (source) is closer to the truth and if he was pushing boundaries that got him let go.

I question the Met police findings on Leveson inquiry full stop, especially around Diana. Then we have Martyn Underhill slipping off to Dorset police from Sussex police. Dorset had already been put in the frame around Diana's death and Underhill was caught up in the Sarah Payne accusations of improper conduct which his local rag was forced to keep away from. Payne worked with Rebekah Brooks.
Underhill told police himself he thought he might have been hacked. The information around the over-friendly text messages' either came from the female he was in text exchange with or obtained by hacking.
