TOPIC: Little Women

Little Women 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I thought it was terrific; my only quibbles were the book burning scene was not as traumatic and shattering as it was to me when I read the novel as a teenager hoping to be a writer - it filled me with dread and horror which has never left me - everything I write I make dozens of copies of. And I did find the hopping about in time frames distracting. But Timothée Chalamet - what a star! The biggest new actor in decades. Saoirse Ronan - simply brilliant; well set for an Oscar win. Laura Dern - fantastic too. Greta Gerwig; superb script and director; surely a Best Director Oscar nominee. Some camerawork and settings actually made me gasp.
