TOPIC: Phillip Schofield

Phillip Schofield 4 Years, 2 Months ago
I bumped into him at Westfield shopping centre a few months ago and we chatted for five minutes (after he mistakenly called me Paul; he thought I was Gambaccini!). I never had any clue that he was gay (or, as is clearly the case, bi-sexual; both sides hate us Bi's). Good luck to him. The great thing is this highlights how different past attitudes to homosexuality were and explains why I became a target for homophobes (specifically police) in 2000. When I was a teenager, any gay behaviour at all was totally illegal. There was NO age of consent. As a result millions were jailed or killed (suicides were frequent; even more than, now, paedophiles). It explains a lot.

It does explain a lot and shows why living such a lie doesn't have to be so.

On the other side of it, nobody should have to put up with loud and annoying types who want to express their gayness beyond the levels of acceptability.

Once upon a time, camp men were funny.
Why do they sound like women so much? Surely they weren't born with voices like that?

It has always surprised me that so many people insist on telling us about their sexuality, religion, political views etc.

As most of us don't care. I've often worked with individuals for years - and had no inkling (or interest) about their sexuality, or whatever.

Personal matters should be kept just that - like medical ailments, phobias, alegencies, preferences, intolerances etc.

Unless you - and your mates/colleagues/family - decide to privately chat about them, for whatever reason.

As I wrote a couple days ago.He was due to be outed by a Sunday paper.
This story is still going ahead. Check Katie Hopkins Twitter cos she is writting about it right now snd the replies are all mentioning this supposed young guy he was seeing.
Im sure Hopkins will enjoy every moment.

The vile rat on the Barrymore crucifixion documentary is typical of your average tabloid "journalist"...
"Wow! Awesome a murder! High 5 get a picture of the family now! Get the inside of the coffin photographed"

Scum..

And out of the woodwork will come dozens (27 in my experience) or possibly more as he's slightly famous. Another Savile? I'm sure a bit of age tweaking will go on (Surrey Police are very helpful for any would-be False Accusers) and underage teenagers claiming to have been 15 - 20 years ago - will emerge, crying for COMPO. I wonder if that nice ex policeman and footballer will go on Victoria Derbyshire sobbing again?

Seeing as MWT has been on the program with , I'm surprised he isn't going for it.

I did notice he retweeted a link to the story.

I don't use Twitter any more, but I did dip in to see what he had to say.

As for Hopkins ( she's an EDL type) and journalists, wait until their families are exposed.

Now, luckily, I am knowledgeable there. Some won't want the embarrassing connections either.

All idiots stick together as proven time and time again.

Gordon the Gopher will be first among the victims. Poor little thing had a hand up him for years while Philip Schofield sat by and smirked at the children on BBCTV, while deviously looking much younger than he does now, in order to lure victims to send him crayon pictures of their house and family so he could track them down and ask them probing questions on the sofa.

But seriously, I'm amazed that anyone didn't know the guy was gay. Also amazed that feeling the need to hide in the closet would be such an issue. During Philip Schofield's career, there have been tons of successful homosexuals in TV and film. But I guess there were family dynamics for him, perhaps unwisely entered into as a sham? Oh fuck it, I don't care where Philip Schofield puts his sausage. I haven't watched television for years.

Interesting fact for any music business folks on here - It was Judd Lander who operated Gordon the Gopher.

I don't think the issue is him being gay or not. Nobody is much interested in that.
It is because the suggestion (I shall assume innocence) is that he "for some reason" gave preferential treatment to a fifteen year old who was a pupil at a theatre company he was a patron of, and indulged him in filming a show-reel, and then gave him a job as his gopher on This Morning, (this is the bit that makes me think it must be made up!) eventually dumping him and having him moved out of the way to loose women, prompting complaints.

Where did you hear this Honey? Sounds credible - another false accuser who only required slight age "adaptation" to make millions from tabloids, in compo etc.

Indeed.

The story is everywhere, including this one with the dream headline....www.politicalite.com/entertainment/groom...met-tv-host-updated/
The tackiness of the publication sums it up.

I don't care about his sexuality, but like Eamon Holmes he has made lots of money on very little talent. They have both been on tv for over 30 years and everything they have done has been crap. This morning these days is like a freak show. Men dressing as puppies or with sex dolls, and when he tries to be a serious journalist he fails miserably. Remember him confronting Cameron with internet rumours about paedos in the tory party. Serious journalists should never base their content on rumours.

What upsets me is that not one scrap of this nonsense needs to be true to cause a wave of accusations that back up the first allegation, which might never have even BEEN an allegation.
There but for the grace of God go all of us.

It was certainly not his finest moment, but he can be an excellent presenter.
The show has gone from bad to worse with the presenters "pretending" to turn up to work drunk, and being deliberately rude to guests and sniggering nonstop, but the fault seems to be the show format, not lack of talent, because they can control themselves fine well on the skating programme.

Whatever his sexual preferences, tastes and proclivities I hate seeing yet another person get "done" by the media, police and false accusers. The buzz now is that "first contact" was with the lad when he was 15. "GROOMING" howl the tabloids (and police will be there AsFastAsThis). Another big story to inflate but it only has legs if more False Accusers come out of the woodwork alleging under age or rape or both. Anyone remember Phillip's predecessor? A presenter called John Leslie; similarly targeted (though attempts to "get" him failed). Let's make 2020 the year when all this stops; is suffocated; is corrected by Parliamentary changes (corroboration or evidence required) and fresh Police behaviour regulations (do NOT assist false accusers in order to get convictions of innocent people).

But I'm afraid Schofe, like Gambo, brought it upon himself. Lady Karma will have noticed that Cameron/McAlpine interview just as she noticed Gambo's Savile comments.

I dont think it is about karma, because nobody deserves to be set up.
None of us deserve a system where this is possible.

By the way, it is worse than that. On twitter they are saying he met the boy at thirteen, at his "two faced theatre company" but the tweets between the two (now deleted) were only from 2011.

I am hoping that they might have overstretched themselves this time, and that people will see it for what it is. (assuming innocence, obviously)

I've always found him pleasant. Once bumped into his parents on Waikiki Beach and shared a coffee with them.
