Every twinge 4 Years, 1 Month ago
Does anyone else keep thinking they have got it every time they clear their throat, or get slightly hot due to having two hot water bottles?

Since I heard that seven people died at my local Surrey hospital, in recent days - making 24 for the county - I've given up on coronavirus humour.

As last though, people are heeding the warnings - and the roads and streets are deserted.

If someone inadvertently invades the six foot personal perimeter - verbal admonishment or rapid evasion (or both) is common.

Two obvious factors are causing this; the rising death and infection levels, and the unprecedented reactions of every country on earth.

Whereby, a money is no object strategy has been adopted in virtually all 200 separate areas.

As well as the dire predictions for the coming weeks - evidenced by the thousands of beds being installed in UK exhibitions centres and sports venues.

In addition to huge expandable mortuaries.

Barney, do you realise that your emotional arousal about all this is palpable?

If I cant change it,I try to just get on with it, but it might well be healthier for Barney to embrace his upset and fear, and voice it, than me trying to deal with it with humour?

Obviously we are all very concerned, however it is expressed.

Yes I agree that it can be useful to express fear Honey but it can be contagious and cause as many if not more problems than the thing feared ever could.

I do apologise though to Barney if my post came across as rude; we are all a bit tired and worn out at the moment. Peace and love to all.

H and W - there is no emotion, upset or fear with Barney

Who simply deals in facts, unlike the board owner

I await the Boris letter with interest...

I cant believe he is sending actual letters. It is a bit extravagant and an extra burden for the postmen.

What do you think is in the letter?

Considering the exaggerated and intense media coverage of coronavirus (a new symptom seems to emerge every few days), I wonder how many cases could be attributed to suggestible conditions such as hypochondria and “Medical Students’ syndrome”.

You had humour before that? It's hard to believe. You're like a walking talking version of those daytime TV ads that say, 'You'll be dead soon, so how about planning your funeral...?'
