Yes, it has to be watched carefully, but then again, there are so many idiots who think they're free riders. That's what makes me despair. Democracy is a system designed for intelligent and self-disciplined people. It's not designed for people who think they should be able to do what they like regardless of everyone else. How do you deal with those people at a time like this? 'Don't go to parks' - so they all go to parks. 'Don't socialise' - so they socialise. I'm not sure how to deal with those idiots except via the police. I mean, a course in civic virtue will take a bit longer than we have...

I suspect that many of the estimated 92% currently backing the lockdown have been experiencing it as a regular holiday, not a period of enforced confinement that comes with a hidden price tag. Wait until the weather starts to warm up and the frustrations of being cooped up for too long start to kick in.
