Dear oh dear!

As being the very person that personally screen printed , by hand, the 1992 Winter Olympics special presentation bannerettes (of which I have one in the lounge still), I can only laugh at the computer versus the paint brush.

Dreadful.
What next?
Lego??

It just doesn't work, does it ?!!
It's trying to be too clever, too complicated.
The key to a great logo is SIMPLICITY !!

It has to be said - this response was the only possible one, whatever the logo looked like!

Death, taxes, knocking logos...

BBC brekkie had a viewer send in one with the LOND part being 2012 which I have to say was brilliant. Took the guy ten minutes! Could someone get his name and contact please? I'd like to hire him for future projects.

I think the wording under the "Mr Red Lego Logo", should be written in a format we all understand.
What is that I hear you ask?
Why, the predictive text message of course.

"LDN got Lympics lmho"

Am I the only person to find it hilarious that they have had to withdraw it as it's been causing epileptic seizures in young people?

JK, did you mean this logo?

It's by James Wren. More here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_pictures/6719747.stm

Nope; sadly it's none of those.

They are all pretty good though.

I love the link between David Brent and the logo!

JK, couldn't agree more - I saw it in the Mail this morning and I thought that it was outstanding. How can we get the 'swastika' dropped and this one put in it's place ?

I see 40% of all BBC online visitors want it - all the rest have 1% here and 2% there... it's clearly the cleverest and most simple...

Over to you Ken (I know he's a regular reader).

Brilliant... BBC announce far and away the winner of their logo campaign and everyone agrees - it's the Richard Voysey one we picked ages ago.
He was interviewed on BBC 1 o'clock news and seems like a decent guy too.
