Celebrities and wealthy individuals seem so often to be a target,
1. The have money 2. They’re famous (well known) = ideal target for liars, cheats and money grabbers.

n Australia they call it the tall poppy syndrome.
In Japan they have a saying. the nail that stands out gets hammered down..

More accurately from the internet:
“The nail that sticks out gets hammered down.” People usually use this saying to make a point about Japan, how it's hard to be different, and that any deviance is met with resistance.

I watched some YouTube videos on South Korea which point these things out.
The hammered down nail thing applies in South Korea, that’s why everything there is so bland.. they all drive the same coloured cars, silver being the choice, all the buildings are grey and the people rarely smile.
The youth in South Korea call it a prison and want to move to the West (UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, probably in that order..)
People don’t realise the level of aged homelessness in Seoul and the very high suicide rates...
