TOPIC: JKs Great Single from 1971
#20077
Bloke from an ex-name band

JKs Great Single from 1971 16 Years, 10 Months ago
It might be a bit irrelevant but I'd just like to say that I thought JK's single form 1971 "The Same Old Song" under the moniker the "Weathermen" was one of the best singles of the decade. The drums in particular were great - session player Clem Cattini perhaps? Anyway, I've made lots of records myself and recently appeared at the London Palladium and that was one of the tracks which got me going.

Best Wishes

I agree! I have always wondered who the drummer was on that one. Very catchy and my personal fave version of that song. Still gets the toes tapping even now.

Drummers I used all the time back then were indeed Clem, Dougie Wright and Ronnie Verrell.

All were fantastic!
