Serious and imminent threat? 3 Years, 8 Months ago
Section 21 of the Coronavirus Act 2020 contains the draconian powers to control our lives.

It is justified when there is a "serious and imminent threat" to the UK.

Can someone explain when deaths from Covid are no longer significant (1 was recorded on 16th August...) what the serious and imminent threat is?

And how high do the numbers have to be in comparison with other mortality threats?

Sometimes a serious threat, sometimes perfectly safe.

Yep exactly.

And for the majority who - even when the contradictions are dancing before their eyes and sticking tounges out - cling doggedly to the comfort blanket of orthodoxy with regard to Covid 19; who better than George Orwell:

"Orthodoxy means not thinking - not needing to think. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness." (1984)
