These are next, for the United Kingdom.

Curfews are working well in many countries, like France - where people must be indoors from 9pm to 6am.

And having to pay back less than you borrowed will help everyone - but particularly business and industry.

How are curfews "working well" and in terms of what? Far too early to tell if they will have any impact in France. Though if infections go down no doubt it will be claimed (rather than proven) that there was a causal link.

But if you mean that curfews work well at keeping people indoors, then point taken.

Or if you mean curfews work well at being something a Government can be seen to be doing (which is what most of this is all about), then point taken.!

This day last week, over 30,000 new infections were reported in France - in the previous 24 hours.

WHO advised that it was 'absolutely necessary' that tough restrictions were imposed.

Curfews came in on Saturday night for 9 cities - from Marseile to Paris and Lyon.

And the early indications (expected to be confirmed soon) are that infection levels have dropped.

If correct is there a link between curfews and dropped infection levels? Where is the data?
