The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart 3 Years, 8 Months ago
Just watched the interesting documentary film, I'm not a fan of their music and I hated disco back then and still I do. However you can't say they were not talented because they clearly were and sales prove it.
They mention the Disco Demolition Night.
Racism didn't ruin disco music it was garbage and appealed to a small minority - if racism killed disco how comes soul or Mowtown Record survived ?? Not forgetting the huge popularity of Hip-Hop from the 1980's right in to the late 2000's. The media has always been the enemy of the people and Pathe war films were staged also.
I have been to dozens of rock gigs and it's been very diverse in the crowds. Thin Lizzy were loved in USA and Phil Lynott was idolised like Hendrix was.
