I reckon Biden might be a bit too canny to mingle with ex-IRA figures, unlike HM The Queen.

Wakey wakey. He's proudly been pictured alongside 'Our Gerry' and his mates for ages.

I just think this is all media speculation fishing for a story. I know the passion of some nationalist ex pats from my London days and I am sure that is alive and well in NY etc.

But Biden go there - why? So he has a history and views; doesn't mean they will be relevant to his presidency. Simple assumptions are being made to try and stir a story. It is just noise...

Irish eyes are now anxiously awaiting the St Patrick's Day guest list for the Biden White House - to see whether IRA stalwarts, like Gerry Adams, will be invited.

There's no reason why Adams should; he's now retired from politics - but was a major player (says the Irish PM - and others) in the IRA's long campaign of violence and murder.

Micheal Martin is the new PM - who, over the years, has frequently confronted Adams publicly about his terrorist activities. Martin won't wish to be in the same room, as Adams.

some people are talking about what they would like to happen rather than reality.

The vast majority of Americans have little interest in what is happening outside the US (unless perhaps it's a war the US is waging). To think they'd give a toss who Biden may meet is a fantasy. Internal politics is what matters to them.
Not this stuff..
