Daltrey (who I had lunch with once 35 years zzzzz ) was a vocal supporter of Brexit (and Maggie..but I thought she was pro-EU? ) and scoffed at the notion that leaving the EU may cause problems for UK artists touring Europe but alas, it has now come to pass. And it looks bloody complicated and bound to hugely increase costs and lower profits which won't be too good for musicians or bands starting out.

Now he's joined a group letter demanding Boris & Co do something about it. I agree with that .

So after voting and promoting something that now prevents 100,000s of young Brits from easily traveling and working in the EU (valuable experience for the young surely), he wants special privileges for artists and musicians !

This is what happens when people vote for ideological reasons rather than what works for them.

I expect such exceptional pleading to grow and grow as people dimly realise they have voted against their own interests.

If it happens enough who knows in time we get a referendum to rejoin!

Never did like The Who anyway...

If they cant perform abroad without hassle they could build a sort of "performance Disneyland thing", and have people come for holidays to see lots of different performers on site.

nice idea Honey but really..hoping to fill a stadium in London with travelers from Germany, Belgium etc?

pretty sure someone would have tried that already.

# I was actually planning to attend in March a Who concert in a lovely country area outside Sydney known for it's fine wines & food etc after numerous successful concerts there including Elton John but that's been cancelled..Covid !!

Well, Glastonbury is popular with people who don't mind vile toilets or irritating druggies, so maybe a civilised version would sell?

I don't think I would be bothered bout seeing The Who, actually. I'm not sure why.

I didn’t know The Who were still a band, terrible sound and boring films.

I wish celebrities didn’t get involved in politics all it does is annoys fans. It’s like comedians if they can’t laughs they use politics for jokes.
