At least Stephen Fry is amusing and gorgeous - Piers, the opposite.
Recently I dusted off and watched a few "Jeeves & Wooster" on DVD. I do recommend it to lift the gloom of lockdown. I don't think I have ever seen two better fits for their roles than Fry & Laurie in that glorious series. Both utterly glorious. The books are great for lockdown too; pure comic gold line after line.
What a posh &@?!?!& you are Wyot.
Next time when lockdown is over you have murder mystery nights with your bridge club.

Not posh at all GM (although everything is...cough...relative)! But I do appreciate comic genius whether in the perfect Jeeves and Wooster Fry and Laurie achieved, or within the pages of Wodehouse - the Godfather of the modern comic novel

My partner looked at bookshelf, she was amazed what I have, she looked shocked when she saw Three Investigators next to Biggles followed by pulp fiction. I have books on old Hollywood films and studios which are heavy and she tutted when she saw my collection on books about trucks and lorries.

"we all know etc"..
Do we Green Man? I don't know and it looks like 71 million Americans don't know or don't care.
I have however noticed Biden is a very tactile person is pretty huggy huggy..men women and children.
I don't see a problem there and I take no notice of backyard gossip and as one of the themes on this forum is talk about the false allegations industry, I reckon the unproved, evidence free claims about Biden are garbage..
I say the same about Trump as well although he did admit on tape to groping and assaulting women but then he was part of that NYC Jeffrey Epstein mob.
personally I'm not a tactile person, as was my Mom..I'm not very good at air kissing and can recoil when someone touches me, even innocently.
Odd as my mother's sister, my favourite Aunt was extremely tactile and gave endless hugs and kisses that sort of made up for my mother's slightly standoffish manner.
Takes all kinds I guess.
Honey: sorry I've gone right off Stephen Fry who is very talented (and a pal of JK's) after he supported the quite vile Rachel Riley in her damaging and nasty campaign against Jeremy Corbyn, falsely accusing him (often in the most ignorant manner)of antisemitism.
Rachel, who doesn't of course " look like a typical Jew" (her words), I reckon has a quite vicious streak covered by a healthy ego, and was in lockstep with the nutty Tracey Ann-Oberman, yet while I can't abide watching anything with Riley in it(and now find Fry a turn off and actor Eddie Marsan similarly) I lurve Oberman's voice so I watch Escape to The Chateau just to hear it !!
Funny old world init? (as if anyone cares what I think )

Did he really? What a peculiar thing for him to do. That Riley woman is clearly a bully and what the heck does she think a "typical Jew" is supposed to look like, for goodness sake?
I am thoroughly enjoying not having to hug and handshake strangers any more. Long may social distancing live!

Probably are garbage, who knows and to some extent who cares? Biden has already done all this:
www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-55872331
Real, decisive, brave actions that will make a difference to the planet; not just a few stockholders on the US markets.
Brilliant Biden.
A beacon of light for the world, replacing a festering turd.

Replacing fossil fuels has to be done gradually not rushed.
Will everyone be kitted out with solar panels at tax payers expense?
Australian government has been running very generous schemes for some years that almost halved the cost of solar panels (paid for by taxpayers). Not sure if they still do but the few times I take a suburban train I'm really surprised at the 10,000s of small suburban houses I see with solar panels so I guess they all took advantage of it.
Likewise the government basically paid for every house to have "pink bats" installed to 1. lessen noise from planes and city airports and 2. conserve heat in winter etc (turned into a big controversy though). Of course early Oz houses were ridiculously copied from UK architecture..totally inappropriate for the climate when they should have taken building tips from Mediterranean architects.
Pretty sure Germany runs all sorts of government sponsored solar panel schemes.
I have a pal with an apartment in Brooklyn which you would think would preclude them from having solar panels but some bright spark has got council funding and for about 7 years now has been decking out apartment blocks with solar panels ..apparently it's such a success that they are able to on sell power to the "grid" and are trying to link up entire blocks into the scheme..a pretty big job I guess negotiating with landlords.
It has to start somewhere.

I don;t know Honey but I always recall (although my lady pal reminded me just the other day I had the location wrong)..that when I was a glamorous (natural) Blonde and was with her who was natural Irish green eyed blonde and we were with her then boyfriend who was tall North European blond and we walked into the Hammersmith Palais for a rock concert, that the bloke from the Goodies Bill Oddie quipped.. "Hitler would have loved that trio".
Maybe just the duo as having a Jewish mother sort of officially makes me Jewish (reasoning? you always know who your mother is..not necessarily who your father is ).
