With just as challenging targets now set for the over 40s and younger. The UK ordered 450 million inoculations in readiness.

Booster jabs are already being planned for those who have received two - to combat variants, and 8 separate vaccines will be available shortly.

Only a few countries - like the US and Israel - can compare with our rapid process. And, of course, we were pivotal in vaccine development efforts.

Credit is due, to many on the vaccination front - the major success of our fight against the virus. This endeavour was sometimes flawed, although money was never slow or unavailable.

You see, I look at the same thing and think how often we have seen the government "confident" before various disasters, and that we could actually do nothing at all for ages and still be ahead, because the rest are too slow.

Yes it has, and once the Moderna is on British soil and safely unloaded I will be delighted.
