TOPIC: Vaccines & long covid

Vaccines & long covid 2 Years, 8 Months ago
This is very good news I think:

Looks like vaccines massively reduce the risk of long covid; which is the only aspect of Covid that should concern most people. This is a real story; unlike infection rates which mean nothing on their own, but the mefia is still boringly obsessing on.

a new virus needs a new vaccine.

Influenza claimed millions before a vaccine was created..still kills as it mutates all the time so requires a newer vaccine.

It's not like we have a choice to do it any other way.

## my ex as a child was one of many children with Rheumatic Fever whose parents consented to a last ditch attempt at a cure by using then experimental Penicillin..it worked.

### Had a shingles vaccine today after a government media scare campaign reminded me of having a bout of it 40 years..horrendous virus that attacks the nerve endings so a flash of excruciating pain come from no-where.

Yes thank goodness for Edward Jenner and down with all the bloody nonsense spread over the internet re the vaccines.

I had shingles a couple of years back and concur Hedda that it is hideous. The nerve endings on my chest were on fire; I couldn't wear clothes over my top for a few days it was that painful. It is very unlikely that you will get shingles twice: but not impossible. I would advise anyone who hasn't had that jab to get it if you can. Very rarely some poor sods get post herpatic neuralgia post shingles - and never get rid of it - just have to try and manage the pain.
