I am pro vaccine but this sort of thing (Washington Post here) chills me:

This woman argues that as resources are stretched vaccine refusers should be the last to be treated. She doesn't apply this to smokers or hard drinkers because these things are "difficult to give up" and vaccine refusers put others at risk.

This isn't science it is religion. It is not clear that vaccinated people spread the virus less; smokers harm the health of others and alcohol the health of others through violence.

What is it with the human race, Covid and the ability to contextualise?

Oddly though both my parents gave up smoking overnight. I've never smoked after my previous mentioned episode ( Diary of Nobody 2: Reflux page 396) episode when a lovely Aunt allowed me to smoke a pack of Cocktail Sorbraine ciggies at age 14 and I was violently ill.

I'm surprised US health insurers who can be ruthless, haven't cracked down on anti-vaxers and I predict this will be a coming huge battle.

I know how tough they are after my dear NY friend had 2 bouts of cancer and had battles with his insurer..and in fact as a usual Republican voter who loathed Donald Trump after dealings with him ( as most of NYC do) nevertheless voted for him but not in 2020 purely because of his non-existent health policy.

They don't want their incompetence and impotence on providing sufficient health care for increased seasonal cold viruses highlighted. They are very good at turning the spotlight away from themselves.

Having said this I suppose there is an argument that we take individual responsibility for others and the healthcare system by getting vaccinated if we can; as you know I don't agree with you on "hidden agendas" behind covid interventions.
