Goodness me it looks like we have another great tennis player! Sadly she's a woman (I really don't like women's tennis) but certain breakthrough players (Williams, Martina, BJK) are great to watch and Emma might just be another (and British!). Even better - mixed race.

Back in 1999 the US Final was between 17 year old Wonderful Williams and 18 year old Magnificent Martina. Don't you adore teenagers? No longer children (annoying creatures with squeaky voices and muddled brains) and not yet old (set in their ways; disillusioned by life; ready for death). I fell in love last night too. Not with one of B's proxies but Emma R and Clapton-song Fernandez. What a match! 18 & 19. Emma will be a gorgeous superstar for years to come. Let's hope she stays injury free. She seems to have the cool head; utterly remarkable for her age.
