Why are the media so quiet about this on both sides of the Atlantic ? Oh, yeah Larry Elder is not a black liberal.

There is a real problem in society at the moment I agree GM with figures "on the right" effectively being castigated, cancelled and denied air time.

You only have to look closer to home: Cameron and Boris are centre left, to all intents and purposes. First reaction to covid-panic financial deficit: tax more. Conservative?!

Any view that doesn't follow a bland woke agenda is portrayed as extreme "right wing" and the person "cancelled". Even novelists now are starting to be castigated for having a character express a racist view.

Freedom of expression and art (and I am in no way defending "hate speech" by saying this) are in danger of becoming historical curiosities; as we try and out do one another in "virtue signalling" to the point of collective insanity.

And why so often do the biggest signallers make the most about race: "Emmma Raducanu mixed race winner that's brilliant!" Just say she is brilliant. Full stop. YOU are the ones making it about race by saluting race pointlessly!

Elder is ghastly and destined to oblivion. Good riddance

This was a Trumpian Republican disaster and one must wonder why they bothered especially when Newsom won with a bigger margin than his election.

This sets Gavin Newsom up for a presidential run should Biden decide not to run in 24.

The Republican power bigwigs must be wondering how they can unshackle themselves from Trumpism as it's leading their party to oblivion or a bad split.

Trump lost the popular vote in 2 elections now by millions. Why they think he'd prevail in 2024 is a mystery.

With the Texas abortion issue the Republicans are courting further disaster with the Mid-Term elections. The majority of Woman voted Biden / Harris in '20 and are likely to react badly over the Texas decision as will millions of women in other states.

Putting on my Mystic Meg hat..I predict further wins for the Democrats in '22 and they will then take the opportunity to expand the Supreme Court by 2 new Justices.

Give it time but I reckon real anger will grow within the Republican Party over Trump's endless disastrous influence as the power brokers (the real billionaires) work out how to ditch him permanently and consign Trump to his own oblivion.

## Politics is utterly brutal and most certainly in the USA: I see signs already of former Republican and Trump allies not only distancing themselves from Trump but disclosing all sorts of unsavory matters normally kept secret (yes the Democrats have them as well..Biden has supported racist decisions in the past).

The stab in the back always comes from your own party..just as Margret Thatcher , triumphant for so long (but not really- 11 years seems a lifetime) was frogmarched in tears out of No.10 by her own colleagues and deposited into a taxi.

Lord, help us.

Abortion is murder, Pelosi would do anything to help her nephew Newsom.

I wouldn't be surprised if the election was rigged, my friend in California was posted numerous papers despite living on her own on the day of the election. She has reported the matter. She has lived in the same house for 35 years.
