The annoying thing about media hypes like this is that, as one of the longest serving Internet sites and forums, we get a huge increase in Spam that even our filters don't automatically reject and I spend ages deleting.

I don't understand it. It is well known that very nearly all supposed bargains are no cheaper than usual, yet people ignore this fact and go bananas.

Black Friday is another import from the US. It started to take off in the UK in earnest around 2008/9.

Only if you want a crappy tv from Walmart, even then couldn’t budge the sets when they were reduced the first time round. Cyber Monday is another con.
