Protests 2 Years, 4 Months ago
Looks like a big protest is developing in London today at the prospect of any more restrictions.

Not that you would know right now by looking at BBC news. Just when did the BBC become an arm of Government propaganda?

JK - get on out there! To be fair I coukd be there in 40 mins but it is a bit chilly today...

I saw it reported as "anti-vaxxers" which annoyed me a lot, because it simply isn't true.

I, and many others, would prefer it if everyone could be safely vaccinated, but not against their will for goodness sake!

Yet further evidence of the infantilisation of humanity, Honey - and the superficialising and simplifying. Satan's curse.

You are correct.

My friends were there and some relatives. Both vaxxed and unvaxxed, they don't support plan B, C or D. They are against all restrictions and passport's. Many own their pubs and restaurants if we go back to lockdown or curfews their lively hoods would be finished.

The media journos don't see it like that the disgusting bastards.

Spot on Honey.

I think as much crap is written about vaccines as about Covid; but the idea of forcing anyone to take a vaccine is repugnant.

I get so tired too of anyone who questions the proportionality of response to Covid being called a "Covid denier", conspiracy theorist or someone who thinks they know more about science than scientists.

NO! We just think it was an over reaction. Simple. Stop fucking avoiding the question by straw-manning us. Stop hiding behind these responses. It is sloppy-thinking self serving cowardice.

Calling us a covid denier is far easier than engaging in reasoned argument, I suppose; which most have seemingly lost the ability to do.

you must choose better reading materiel.

The BBC has been a long time Tory leaning outlet. They joined in the chorus of lies against Jeremy Corbyn. It doesn't matter whether you supported Corbyn or not but the propaganda campaign of lies repeated ad infinitum should worry all.

I presume the demonstrators are anti-Lock Down rather than Anti-Vax although these demonstrations tend to have a mix.

Locked Down laws have ceased in Oz (although threatening to begin again vith Omricon) and super markets, dept stores etc have been swift to relax all restrictions to get the customers back in.

But I have notice people are not spending as they did. Maybe they're out in the suburbs at mega Westfields.

Don't these viruses spread faster in the cold?

There does seem to be a seasonal aspect to lockdowns doesn't there?

I think the protestors were as you say a mix but from what I can tell it was primarily sparked by leaks of the lockdown they are preparing here after we have finished the Christmas Turkey....

But I am sure there were a few Bill Gates will never put a tracker in my blood stream brigade.

I think they may be surprised what happens this time. A majority supported it last time, bit this has swung massively the other way according to a recent poll and so has support for Boris.

Everyone I speak to now is clear that they will take no notice of household or mixing restrictions that stop them seeing family or friends; people that were all for it last time....The Gov has lost all credibility here with it's parties and mocking of the obedient...

It’s clear that most media outlets continue to ignore alternative points of view. They behave like the gangsters of the underworld in 1920s America in lockstep with shady politicians and civil servants representing their interests. For the second weekend in a row, the story of a “leaked” government document has appeared.

An exception is the following article found via the Collateral Global website:

It is slowly changing MD. The Telegraph very good on Saturday. Using words like "panic" with strong editorials against further lockdown. It is changing, even, in Parliament: the strength of the resistance to the latest measures will make the PM very wary of introducing further ones. Those of us anti-lockdown has grown hugely in recent weeks and months. Let's face it, omicron (or "a cold" as our ancestors knew this condition...) is so out of control now that we are going to get mass herd immunity tested whatever is done now. And hopefully that will prove a jolly good thing; and the beginning of the end of this silly nonsense...
