Hedda is quite right; facts and fairness are unimportant to media (traditional and social). The one thing that matters is "Is it a good story?". At the moment the only "good story" is that Andrew must be presumed Guilty and everything is slanted that way. "Crook lies to get money" is, at the moment, not a story and can sadly probably never be proven. The Carl Beech/Jemma Beale situations are rare in prosecution (though common in practice). Andrew, who can afford it, will probably now settle without admitting anything. Those of us interested in fairness wish it could be proved in court that Giuffre lied and that she gets a long prison sentence like Beech is serving - 18 years, for attempting to pervert the course of justice. But as long as the law remains as it is and jurors and judges are allowed to be influenced by media, there will be no change.
RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION about rich people! Righteous Indignation about Cabinet Ministers. Righteous Indignation about death! Let's be indignant about everything (saves time - why think when a slogan covers it all?).
The media say that Prince Andrew has been stripped of his titles and ranks, but I would not be surprised if it was Andrew's own decision to surrender his titles for the sake of honour.
I doubt if many members of the press understand what honour is.

It's painted in the media that way.
It's feverishly implied that this came out of the blue with Andrew not knowing.
While I wouldn't have a clue how this process works it's bound be a deliberate tactic most likely so that a royal is not being grilled, rather a private citizen.
