And will experts please stop telling us that the change in severity of the virus is due to the vaccines? It may indeed be ONE of the reasons (as you know I'm a vaccine fan, having had three and intending to get a fourth) but it may not be the only one. Many unvaccinated have got Covid with only mild symptoms. Perhaps Covid has been changing? Perhaps treatment has improved? Perhaps it was never as serious as exaggerated by media? I'm sure I remember hundreds of thousands testing positive before Omicron. But it's hard to keep up.

There have always been some people completely unaffected by covid, but at the beginning we were not testing.
I would certainly hope that the vaccinations lessen the symptoms in those who are vulnerable, or there would be no point to them.

Oh they do Honey. When they gave us the wrong FLU jab in 2017/2018 (which killed 50,000 in 3 months in England & Wales alone, according to the Telegraph) I was very ill for about 5 days (in a luxury hotel in Morocco - definitely the place to be ill). It was very similar to when I think I had Covid (March 2020) except the Covid gave me massive night sweats. Common Sense is often wiser than "experts".

The "developed world" has acted in a very selfish way.

I become more puzzled by the day but I have noted: with Omicron running riot in Oz and ICUs being filled with anti-vaxers..the opposite is happening in West Australia.

It's a vast state of course but everyone mostly still lives in one crowded city Perth but because they shut the door very early on not only did Covid not flourish but Omicron is non-existent..not a single case.

Isolation is terrible for mental health. The ones who enjoyed lockdowns are those will no life, friends and hobbies.

I am glad to be working again, supporting local businesses at the same time.

Yes - isolation would work against the spread of the common cold but would it be worth it and should it last forever (the only sensible way to deal with it)? I think Isolation is essential if you're dealing, for example, with EBOLA - until a vaccine or treatment is found. But for this stupid trivial virus, inflated by media and swallowed by gullibles who get told extremes and believe them ("one more death! Close all off licences!!"), we need common sense.
