To be fair on Henman, he was the best British male tennis player in 70 years by a large margin. OK, he didn't quite have what it takes to win a Grand Slam tournament but he does deserve some credit. On the other hand, he didn't deserve the blind worship of his irritatingly adoring fans on "Henman Hill" either, but they weren't his fault.

You've made me realise that its not Henman that I dislike as much as the no-hoper fans and media that "built him up" when he was never in that class.
The Great British Disease of let's shoot the lad down in flames! To which I plead 'guilty'. I often slated Henman referring to him as not so much of a tiger but a kitten.
