I wish there was a way of knowing how much successful YouTubers make.

There are websites that profess to give that knowledge but they vary so widely apart it's difficult to really know.

Presumably you earn via big numbers of viewers because of adverts but doesn't everyone block adverts ? (I do)

Not everyone, no, because (depending on your system) it stops you watching the TV catch-up channels and some other things.

I think they get 10 pence per advert buy each viewer. It soons adds up also nearly every popular Youtuber sells merchandise, endorsements and work with other Youtubers for content. It can be a nice living also if you have the content, personality and viewers. Most videos are no more than click-bait. My partner loves watching Locker Nuts and their live auctions despite the fact that they don't ship to the UK.

This is very interesting, regarding Mark Williams Thomas.

One of us is going to have to take one for the team and join the silly V.O.R club to follow it, aren't we?

I am not 100% either, I have only heard him by Honey. I don't listen to the radio because I only get static and its gets boring.

I don't watch mainstream TV nor do I subscribe to anything.

It looks like he is another victim of Mark Williams Thomas, if the evidence in court holds up.

He is a presenter with a youtube channel. Snappy, rude, insensitive, bigoted, but probably not a stalker, and most definitely mistreated by the police.

Greenman, that's odd. I could have sworn it was you who showed me the VOR channel?

It was you that showed me him.

I like some of his views, not all. He seems to be very defensive like James (School Bully) O'Brien on LBC when questioned or they lose an argument, they both shut you off. I tried to get on LBC but always got hang up and then finally blacklisted.

Alex, I don't care if he is insensitive or rude though that part of freedom of expression. However Alex said he would never ask for money then asks for money. He could generate income if he moved to www.rumble.com

Alex, is also good at exposing the establishment and calling out the faux conservatives in the media like Nick Ferrari, Mike Parry and Mike Graham. Funny how the media are now talking about the grooming gangs, when Tommy Robinson exposed the grooming gangs, he was called everything under the sun and arrested several times.

Freedom of speech is one thing, but constantly referring to a woman who has recently lost a baby (Boris's wife) as "Miss Carrie" is needlessly cruel.

I agree it's cruel but I still like freedom of speech.

Beg to differ.

Yes very interesting, editing recordings to make someone look bad tut tut,
if he can falsify that what else can he falsify?

Latest video Re: Stephanie Hirst

Is "Tranny on the video" a parody or hate speech.
I've listened to the video and it's just a parody but of course in these times
there are things people take offense to.

I like Stephanie Hirst though, she's ok, her vinyl revival shows which ended just before
the pandemic were excellent, as were the vinyl heaven shows she did on GOLD when she
was Simon.

I think he wants to be Howard Stern. Who said things like that. Stern belittled his wife or girlfriend on live on air when she miscarried.

I'm surprised the whole notion of 'hate speech' isn't challenged legally more seriously. Concentrating on the consequences of speech is one thing. Claiming to know the intention behind speech is quite another. Most cases of 'hate speech' are clearly attempts to depict potentially offensive remarks as deliberately hateful remarks, and that just isn't a justified jump. It helps the accuser to ramp up the outrage to claim there is hate, rather than just humour, or unthinking and accidental offense, but I don't see why it should be indulged.

The wooliness in so much of this discourse is alarming. Take 'slur,' for example: 'slur' is 'an insinuation or allegation about someone that is likely to insult them or damage their reputation'. But when, as is now often the case, the media will claim someone was 'slurred' they really mean insulted. Calling someone a racist epithet isn't a 'slur'. Are journalists that ignorant or do they just find the word 'offensive' too dull for their purposes? It's as if the whole of news is now being covered by semi-literate school leavers.

That was his tragedy to deal with in his own way.

Maybe the the remarks were not much different to Alex.

Alex is a shock jock, he also reminds me of Bubba The Love Sponge back in the day.

It might a culture thing the UK media is regulated whilst USA media was very relaxed until people started getting offended. I am beginning to think if more and more people are on the spectrum. They can't seem to take sarcasm, irony or know when some one is doing banter.

You either like a joke or you don't.
