HELP! 1 Year, 11 Months ago
HELP - we have a Jubilee mix of the music Princess Elizabeth danced to 80 years ago and want to get it to DJs at street parties next month. However all the promo companies say their DJs do not play street parties. Is there no company that caters for such things? Do no dance DJ’s dare play anything different? Please let us know.

I think most street parties will be community organised and will rely on local volunteers so I doubt there will be ay commercial opportunities to sell music to them. If you were doing it for free and wanted your Jubilee mix used then the best (and probably only) way to network with most of the street party organisers is via Facebook . If you search “Jubilee Street Party” on Facebook you’ll find loads of community groups on there

Thanks BB - yes it's for free - just would enhance any street party with memories of Princess Elizabeth 80 years ago!

If its free then Facebook is the way to go. Compose an explanatory message and copy/paste it to as many Jubilee Party groups you can find. There are lots of them on Facebook.

If you do that from a new account you will also be building up a network on there of interested folks which you can rap into for some future commercial ventures

80? When she was 16? Why?

The music she danced to as a teenager, often with Philip, an Overture to a Career.
