TOPIC: Tom Cruise
#221473
Tom Cruise 1 Year, 11 Months ago
I've been quite a fan of Tom's ever since Risky Business (and it is indeed a risky business to rave about his performance in that) and he rarely lets me down. Despite all the slagging about Scientology (who cares?), he makes great films and his action sequences rival Paul Greengrass's for style and effect. Looking forward to the new Top Gun.

I find him a little shouty and shrieky at times for my taste; and don't like the way he over-gesticulates...

I agree, to me he is a stuntman like Jason Stathamm, Jackie Chan, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford. I haven't been to the cinema in years. I personally find a lot of films crap, waste of time to sit through. The so-called blockbusters are just overrated tripe.

he's my height...5'7" but he wears lifts

I'm obsessed with celebrities heights ever since I met Spartacus and he also my height.

Marylin Monroe was 5'6"

Like Daniel Craig, Cruise has a small army of stuntmen for movies. All listed in the credits. For a three minute simple segment of a movie I saw being made, four stunt/doubles/decoys were used. The filming took four hours. And the face of the principal actor (absent) was inserted into the scene during editing.

I'm the same height as Richard Gere and Melania Trump (5'11")...

Like Richard Gere..Melanie not so much.

I went to a presser for Danny Devito who was amazingly tiny..like a miniature person and sort of cute and cuddly looking.

Spartacus of course was Kirk Douglas who I landed a job as a humble gofer for..such a gentleman.

I can never tell heights..I thought Tony Curtis would be short but he was 5'10"

Kylie is minute and the glorious Dolly Parton like a pixie with 2' hair.
