For pity's sake.... 1 Year, 10 Months ago
Whatever this man has or hasn't done, we now live in a world where his colleague is castigated (and worse makes an apology) for suggesting that his colleagues reach out to him. That is all.

news.stv.tv/politics/amy-callaghan-truly...-about-patrick-grady

We are losing our humanity, step by step, in spiralling self-righteous moral outrages. People make mistakes, people can do terrible things, but they remain people. For fucks sake how did we end up in a place where 90% of people will agree that this woman did something wrong...

It is indeed important, as she says, that survivors should be supported - it is equally important that liars and false accusers should be exposed and prosecuted.

Offenders need supporting too. Especially if you don't want them to do it again!

Yes and that people are allowed to show compassion and support people who have (or may have) done wrong, without everyone acting as if by doing so you too are committing the same wrong.

Exactly Honey. It isn't only about being a decent human being, it is the only sensible practical approach if we want to lessen crime for us all. But much easier just to condemn.
