I watched it. We were good, but playing against a third rate side. Israel were dreadful. I also feel these internationals are dreadfully dull, especially when the domestic season has just kicked off. I admit to having lost a good deal of faith in the England campaign, and I just know as things stand we wont win a goddamn thing. But no doubt the 'experts' will sit back and blame Arsene Wenger, whom has never been England manager. As always Jonathan King's cup is half full... We won...yes...but things aren't as they should be...McClaren looked very nervous indeed. Not sure I appreciate a nervy England manager. He doesn't inspire great confidence. We need someone with the arrogance of a Mourinho. You'd be excellent Jonathan!! LOL.

One of the poorest games I've seen in a long while. Actually I found it embarrassing. Russia didn't seem to have a clue and I lost count of the times they passed the ball to England players. Even Russian TV admitted their side were dreadful. 3-0 sounds good, but the quality of opposition was so low that it denies any glory. Owen did what he was paid to do, but I wouldn't say they were great goals.

England haven't really been tested yet. I'd like to see them play a quality side in competition. Brazil toyed with us in the friendly. If we do qualify for Europe, I hope we face some tough opposition. It's the only way we can properly assess our squad.

Yes, I did notice, Mart. There must be a point where there is insufficient space to cope with the size of the number. I wonder what happens then. Back to 1, I suppose.
