I've got to admit I don't watch much women's football (or tennis) but the goal last night was fantastic!

I don't know any football who is watching or following the tournament.

I don't see any flags waving outside houses or hanging out of car windows. To me football is football and I hate the sport regardless. I used to go to non-league with my father so he wasn't on his own, I couldn't get excited or jump and down when a goal was scored.

I haven't watched any of it but was seriously impressed by the highlights; now really looking forward to watching the final with my 8 year old football playing daughter on Sunday afternoon!

The Woke brigade will have kittens when an all-white England team wins the women's euros. When was the last time the England men's team fielded an entirely white team? (the 80s?).

Only the BBC could of made the football a race issue. Surely you want the best XI to be on the pitch on a specific match ?

Politics and sport do not mix.

It's a refreshing change to see an English sporting success that isn't based on very vague connections to England, such as Mo Farah, Emma Radacanu, Cameron Norrie, and Johanna Konta, all using the UK as flags of convenience.

A lot was made of one of the presenters saying that there was a lack of diversity in women's football, obviously exaggerated by right-wing tabloids. This is an interesting point considering how diverse the men's game is, though not a problem, we should obviously pick the best xi.

Then why mention diversity in the first place it's irrelevant. You're either good at sport or you're not

Lionesses do the hunting for their cubs and pride. They will fight to the death to protect their cubs. Lions, sleep and patrol then have the first dibs of the prey. So why would someone want to change Lionesses name in football ?

A scottish reporter says that there is a lack of diversity in the England team. Well it is true, there is. Is it a problem? No. If they had 11 black players would they complain about the lack of diversity no. I think that this is just a bitter scottish reporter trying to dampen the mood. How many black players are there in the Scotland Men's team, not many is the answer. Not many black women are interested in playing and/or excel at football in England.

Race has nothing to do with it. Diversity these days mean no whites especially straight.

I can't name any footballer. The NBA is very diverse with blacks and whites, of course there are more blacks because they are generally faster and taller than whites.
